Lauren Johnson, Doctor of Physical Therapy
PhysioMender Owner and Founder

Lauren is a Wenatchee native, graduating from Wenatchee High School, before earning his Associates degree from Wenatchee Valley College, a Bachelors degree in Physiology from the University of Washington, and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of Washington in 2013. He has been practicing physical therapy in the valley ever since. He has always enjoyed this community and all the amazing outdoor adventures the valley has to offer, which is why he returned after school.
He is a family man, who is married to the most amazing woman, and he is working hard to raise three energetic boys. He enjoys cycling, running, paddle boarding, cross-country skiing, and doing anything outside with his family or friends. He loves all things Lord of The Rings, board games, and watching cycling: especially cyclocross and The Classics.

Lauren has long been intrigued by the art of performance, with a drive to excel in running and cycling since his teens. Injuries brought him into the field of physical therapy at a young age, and he has used that same motivation to pursue excellence in injury prevention, rehabilitation, biomechanics and performance optimization.
Dr. Johnson has a passion for helping people and understands that walking the road to recovery is more than just physical. Oftentimes, it involves a mental burden and fear from not understanding pain or what is happening to the body. He takes pride in teaching people how to better understand their body, the reasons why pain may be present, simple tricks to relieve pain quickly, and what it takes to create longer lasting improvements in pain reduction and resilience to injuries.
Dr. Johnson is certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) and a Certified Mulligan Practitioner (CMP). He specializes in treatment of almost all injuries and in creating long lasting results. Special interests include running, cycling, lifting and sports injuries and figuring out how to get patients back to the activities they care about.

His approach initially focuses on rapid symptom reduction, and then pivots towards instructing patients in self-management strategies and progressions that will allow for longer lasting changes in joint position, nerve unloading, or soft tissue remodeling, as we work towards improved functional capacity return to your activities, and making you resilient to injury.
Lauren enjoys empowering and guiding people toward a healthier lifestyle, and developing tailored and specific programs that fits each person’s needs.
He would love to be your movement expert and the first person you come to for advice or treatment of any injury.
